Robbery with a vibrator
Not a gun or a knife, but an adult toy was the weapon of the 35 -year-old Aaron Stein with which he robbed a bank in Crafton (Pittsburgh). A teller describes the device as having wires and a green light on the top, which appeared to be a trigger button.
“He had a mask on, said he had a bomb, displayed some wires hanging out from underneath his shirt,” a Crafton Police officer said. The robber drove off in a white Toyota, which was pulled over on a ramp to northbound Interstate 79 by Robinson Township police. The bomb squad deployed as a precaution when police pulled Stein over. Officers found money in a garbage bag and the 'bomb' turned out to be a box, black tape, vibrator and cell phone.
Aaron Stein faced a preliminary hearing in Allegheny County Magisterial District Court on nine felony counts including aggravated assault, robbery, threatening to use a weapon of mass destruction.
