Councillor has slammed Vivente Swingers Club

ViventeA row has erupted after Vivente Swingers club opened directly opposite a Christian TV station and just yards away from a primary school.  According to its website the club in Hudson Road, Hendon (UK), promises late-night sex-swapping parties five nights a week. Also the organisers offer to open “by appointment only” between 10am-4pm.

The club also hosts monthly themed evenings, including Back to School, Grease and Superheroes.

Swinging is not illegal, but council bosses said it needed planning permission to operate – which Vivente’s owners do not have. Thereforethe venue has been condemned by local councillor Barbara McClennan. She says it is a 'blatant attempt to cash in on people's sexual interests. “The operators have to accept that if they flout the law or choose to ignore advice about planning regulations or licensing requirements, officers will use the “full weight” of their powers to pull the plug on the club. The use of the premises as a swingers’ club is unauthorised and needs planning permission.

The councillor added that the swingers were not welcomed by people living and working in Hendon. “If someone wants to live a swinging lifestyle, let them do it in their own homes – not on the doorsteps of Hendon residents, around the corner from a local school and near places of worship.”

Fair enough, the club has flouted planning regulations allegedly, howev er Barbara McClennan sounds like she is badly in need of a good shag.
Recently had a new supermarket open in our town - a blatant attempt to cash in on people's need to eat I would say.

Sounds more like she needs to do a user query online, saying people of the area don't want this club... A preliminary search pops up DOZENS of lifestylers using this (and a couple other) websites in the area that might argue with her assessment. They may be in the wrong by opening the club against planning commission approval, and perhaps the location sounds like it could have been better chosen, but don't lay it on ALL the residents, accept it is your own 'uptightness' that doesn't want the club there.
