New York City celebrates Pride Month

GayprideNew York City is over all an exciting place to visit. And if you want to discover lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture you can do so any time of year. But every June and July, the five boroughs truly come alive. The streets are vibrant with parades, festivals and parties. his year New York is also celebrating a major milestone: the one-year anniversary of the same-sex marriage bill being passed. So for locals and visitors an even greater reason to celebrate.

June 2 is the the kick off NYC Pride Month on Staten Island. Further festivities in June: the 20th annual Queens Pride Parade and Multicultural Festival;  the Brooklyn Pride, the NYC LGBT Pride Tally as the official kickoff for Pride Week; Rapture on the River, when
thousands of women will be dancing on Pier 57; The VIP Rooftop Party, The March;  the spectacular New York City LGBT Dance on the Pier and of course the PrideFest, a vibrant mixture of food and craft vendors, musicians, entertainers and local residents.
In july you can head out to Cronota Park in the Bronx for the Bronx Pride Festival.
